"Heroes" Secret Revealed - Who is the Most Powerful Hero?
Excerpts:
**In episode 15, Claire's mom recognizes Mr. Muggles as a threat and Claire discovers her in the kitchen screaming at him in horror. Minutes later, Claire's mom appears to forget the incident and becomes complacent and loving (Mr. Muggles erasing her memory?).
**Mr. Muggles is immortalized in a painting hanging in the Bennets' home. Loving gesture...or the work of Issac Mendez? You decide.
**Sylar uses Mr. Muggles as an excuse to get into the Bennet house. A closer look reveals Mr. Muggles is the one in control.
I can't believe they didn't include the allusion to Harry Potter-dom with his very name ... Mr. Muggles. It is CLEARLY an attempt to throw us off and make us believe that Mr. Muggles is completely without power. But we know the truth ...
We are big Craig Ferguson fans ... tivo him every night. He's absolutely hilarious ... and unlike Letterman (who I still prefer to Leno) and Leno -- he isn't reading jokes off a teleprompter (and doesn't have to say the punchline 3 times like Leno) -- and seems to actually ENJOY what he's doing.
Several times - he has spoken from the heart - once right after his father had died - and then Monday night he talked about alcoholism - and how the media is out of control with the rehabilitation thing, and making light of addiction problems. V. Good. Just reminds me why I watch him - and not other late night shows!
Most people have already seen this ... it's the compliation of all the little 4 second videos that were released all summer long with LOST secrets. Explains what the numbers are ... and a few other interesting tidbits ;)
The numbers predict the end of the world ... they are trying to change the numbers ...

You can watch ALIAS, Desperate Housewives, LOST and more ... the full episodes. There ARE commercials ... but not as many as if you watch it live (for those of you without tivos).
Season premiere of Extreme Makeover - Home Edition was tonight. I'm sure you guys were watching just like us. Last season it was a weekly ritual - Steve and I would sit on the couch and watch EMHE with tears in both our eyes. I LOVE this show. A great season opener with the Rodriguez family. If only the rest of the TV world would realize that this show - a show that builds people up and does something good - is what they should be striving for. I don't care anything about watching a bunch of greedy, self-absorbed people competing to survive on an island somewhere, or silly people eating bugs for fear factor, or any of the other completely useless reality shows. There's enough negative stuff going on in the world ... why not show a little light? Something good ... a good-hearted cry once a week is good for everyone. And it makes you want to go out and do something nice for someone else. That's always a good thing. So there we have it ... Extreme Makeover - Home Edition: The Best Show on Television. ;)
Great lines ....
Jack - "I'm trying to have more fun"
Irina - "Ever since you were eleven, there's something I've wanted to do... "
Vaughn - "My name isn't Michael Vaughn."
Irina - "take me to my sister"
Great moments ...
Irina shooting Elena and then saying "cut the blue wire".
The Jack/Irina kiss. Every scene between them. Irina's prescence. Period.
The last 2 seconds. Thank goodness for tivo. Rewound that and watched it several times.
Sloane shooting Nadia.
Marshall and Weiss back in the states. Some hilarious lines there.
Sydney talking to Sloane at the end -- telling him she actually thinks he was trying to do the right thing.
Thoughts on the latest episodes of Alias, Lost and Gilmore Girls in the extended session. Spoilers.
Alias
Is Nadia Jack's daughter? Is that what Irina was hinting at ???
"Ask me on the beach?" Wheee! I still think it must be weird for Vartan and Garner to do those types of scenes together considering their history. (I wonder if they weren't going to have them get married on the show and then Garner found out she was pregnant?)
Interesting flashbacks with Nadia and Sloane getting the sphere. Still won't miss her next season.
Is Sloane bad? I'm waffling. He was shocked when Elena shot Dixon - and before she shot him I thought he was trying to tell Dixon that he was trying to fix things somehow ... to trust him to do that. (not likely that Dixon would ever trust Sloane ... )
Dixon and Chase. Cool. She could tone down the constant 'pursing her lips and eyebrows raised' looks though. Relax woman.
Lena Olin. So enjoyed her performance. Wonder whats going to happen there for next season?
Lost
Don't like Sawyer much - but he had a few good moments tonight. Looking for Kate to say goodbye. Choosing to tell Jack about meeting his father. Wanting to prove himself to Michael and Jin - cutting the mast.
Walt giving his dog to Shannon. Such a sweet scene. Walt is still freaking me out though.
Sun and Jin's "reunion" - I half expected her to run into the ocean and yell that she loves him when he was floating away on the boat. But I guess that understated watching each other was cool too ;)
Hmm -- so "the others" came and took the french ladies baby. What is it with babies? You know thats what Claire was thinking.
Gilmore Girls
Rory is acting like such a spoiled brat. It really doesn't seem like her to just take what Huntzburger said as absolute truth and give up on her journalism dream. It seems very -- out of character.
Not impressed that Richard and Emily are "harboring" her and encouraging her bad decision to drop out of Yale. Blah.
Loralei and Luke. Sigh. When he's ranting in the diner at the end and she's just watching him -- I knew then she was going to be the one who proposed. I hope he can still get that house ....
Lane's band! I love that Mrs. Kim is going to be their manager. How funny was that!!
Can't believe Loralei didn't go more ballistic over the whole committing a felony thing.
Man TV is going to be really boring in a week or two. Everything's all finished and we'll be in re-run purgatory.
Last night was the season finale. We finally learn the truth behind all the mysteries this season. :pi: If you haven't watched it yet, don't read the extended entry. It'll ruin your viewing pleasure of the finale.
Thoughts:
- We all knew as soon as the Kanes told Duncan that he killed Lilly -- that he didn't. It was pretty obvious that he found Lilly - and his parents just assumed he had a "fit" and killed her and they covered it up. He was in shock from finding his sister -- and had blocked the memory.
- I didn't believe at any time that Logan killed her. But I did figure last week that the cameras Veronica found were going to come in handy eventually.
- So, here's what I think went down between Weevil and Logan. Right before their meetup on the bridge - we see Veronica trying to reach Logan on his cell phone and she doesn't get him. I think she then called Weevil to let him know what was going down -- and asked him to find Logan. They're showing it on the screen like Weevil and his gang are going to torture him or something -- but I think it's just a season finale cliffhanger thing. Maybe I'm dreaming ...
- And I don't think it's Duncan at V's door. He wasn't thrilled when he saw her when his dad and Aaron Echolls were getting arrested. He's still got some issues there.
- I'm waffling between it being Logan or Wallace at the door. Part of me thinks its probably Wallace -- she needs a friend right then. And of course it can only be Logan if the above scenario between him and Weevil is true. Otherwise Logan is lying bleeding and broken under the bridge. Not a happy thought.
- When Keith was in the conference room with the Kanes and they said V had to sign away rights to the Kane fortune, I knew then that the results of the paternity test were in and Keith was her father. What a great scene where V signs the papers without a second thought; great acting on both their parts. Sweeeet! I'm so glad she's actually his daughter.
- Lianne. Ugh. What a total loser!!!! And I couldn't BELIEVE she stole the $50,000 check! She already wasted V's college money -- and now she takes away this too!
- Lily and V at the end on the floats; Lily was a bit cryptic. Need to watch that again.
- Aaron Echolls. Good choice for the murderer. Someone we didn't really suspect -- but so obvious looking back. What a creepy scary ... seeing his face in the rear view mirror; when he threw the lighter to ignite the gas -- ugh.
- Left to wonder: the letter from Logan to Lilly? the secret message pen that Weevil stole from Lilly's room? why did Weidman run Lianne out of town?
Good season finale. So glad this got renewed and given a chance!
I love this show. We caught the first episode back in September when we were in Vegas. We were in the hotel room, getting ready to go out - and it came on and we stayed in the hotel an extra hour to watch it. Then we quickly logged online and told our tivo to record all the rest of the episodes while we were on vacation.
Now - Steve and I both religiously watch this show. I really like these characters - and the writing is funny, witty, smart ...
When Buffy went off the air, I longed for another strong girl show to love (well other than Alias & Gilmore Girls). I think Veronica is going to do it for me!
